Dear kids, you must have heard about different seasons. Every season is different. Every season is enjoyable. As you know seasons are of four types. They are winter, summer, spring and autumn. During winter and summer, you enjoy vacations. Spring you enjoy the greenery all around you. Nature grows itself during winter. Autumn is for picking up colorful leaves, playing and bicycle riding etc. There are 12 months in a year. Each season takes turn within 3 months.
Winter
Winter is the coolest season among all. It comes between autumn and spring. It starts with the years' shortest day. It ends with the arrival of the date when day and night both are equal.
Summer
Summer is the season when temperatures rise and the days are long. This is because due to the curve of the Earth. Some places receive the most sunlight.
Spring
Spring is the season after Winter and before Summer. Spring is a time when flowers bloom and trees begin to grow. The days grow longer and the temperature in most areas begin to increase.
Autumn
Autumn is the season after summer and before winter. In the United States, this season is also called fall. The leaves change from green to red, orange, yellow or brown before falling.
Why do seasons change?
The season change occurs because the earth revolves around the sun. The process takes 365 days or the entire year. The distance between the sun and the earth changes slowly. Therefore the season also changes slightly. When the sun gets near to the earth it's summer. When the sun is far from the earth it's a winter season. We witness the change in weather as the one season changes into another.
